     Ron grew up in Long Beach, attended elementary school and graduated from Long Beach High School in 1962.  He obtained a degree in Architectural Drafting and Design from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (Perkinston); Engineering Degree from Mississippi State; and Executive Program Completion Certificate from Louisiana State University. Registered Professional Engineer. Worked with Weyerhaeuser Company as Senior Project Manager, Manager Engineering and Maintenance, performing strategic long-range planning for capital improvement projects; Responsible for Departmental Annual Operating Budget of $6 million Dollars.  He was a member of the Professional Engineering Society and the Mechanical Engineering Society.  Retired in 2008 returning to live in Long Beach.   Member of Long Beach First Baptist Church.  Served as a Member of Long Beach Planning and Zoning Committee;  Project Administrator for Long Beach hurricane recovery projects;   Project Manager for several Long Beach Improvement Projects.  Married 52 years to Janice Hare Robertson and has two children, Beth and Donnie.  He advocates cost effective local governance, pursuing city wide expansion and beautification, revitalizing economic potential by attracting residential / commercial developments and encouraging tourism.
